= (4+2√3)( 2+√3) / (2-√3)(2+√3)
= 8+4√3+4√3+6 / 2²-(√3)²
= 14+8√3/ 4-3
= 14+8√3 /1
= 14+8√3
= a+b√3
By comparing with this , a = 14 and b = 8.

multiplying and dividing with 2+√3
(4+2√3)(2+√3)/(2-√3)(2+√3)
=8+4√3+4√3+6/4-3
