  • To rationalize a irrational we just have to multiply both the numerator and denominator with the opposite sign of denominator, i.e

1+√6

7+3√2

1+√6 7- 3√2

----------- × -----------

7+3√2 7- 3√2

7- (3√2√6)

---------------------

49-18

7- (³√2√6)

-------------------

31

Hence, we have rationalise the number.
