Answer:

1) √5(√2 - 1)/5

2) √6 + √5

Solution:

1) (2 - 1)/5

Multiplying the numerator and the denominator by √5 , we get ;

(√2 - 1)/√5 = √5(√2 - 1)/√5×√5

= √5(√2 - 1)/5

2) 1/(6 - 5)

Multiplying the numerator and the denominator by (√6 + √5) , we get ;

1/(√6 - √5) = (√6 + √5)/(√6 - √5)(√6 + √5)

= (√6 + √5)/[ (√6)² - (√5)² ]

= (√6 + √5)/(6 - 5)

= (√6 + √5)/1

= √6 + √5
