Given :- Rationalize the denominator :- (5-2root2)/(2+3root3)

Answer :-

(5 - 2√2) / (2 + 3√3)

Multiply and divide by (2 - 3√3) we get,

→ {(5 - 2√2) / (2 + 3√3)} * {(2 - 3√3)/(2 - 3√3)}

→ (5-2√2)(2-3√3)/(2 + 3√3)(2 - 3√3)

using (a + b)(a - b) = a² - b² in denominator,

→ (10 - 15√3 - 4√2 + 6√6) / 2² - (3√3²)

→ (10 - 15√3 - 4√2 + 6√6) / (4 - 27)

→ (10 - 15√3 - 4√2 + 6√6) / (-23)

(15√2 + 4√2 - 6√6 - 10)/23 (Ans.)
