Given:

8  / √11−√7

To find:

Rationalize the denominator: 8   / √11−√7

Solution:

From given, we have,

8  / (√11−√7)

mulitply and divide by √11 + √7

[8  / (√11−√7)] × [(√11 + √7) / (√11 + √7)]

we use the formula,

(a - b) × (a + b) = a² - b²

(√11 + √7) × (√11 - √7) = (√11)²- (√7)² = 11 - 7 = 4

8   × (√11 + √7) / 4

2  × √11 + √7

Therefore, we have, 2 (√11 + √7)
