Step-by-step explanation:

(i)√3-1/√3+1

R.F.=√3-1

Multiply and divide by R.F.

(√3-1)×(√3-1)/(√3+1)×(√3-1)=(√3-1)^2/(√3)^2-(1)^2

=(√3)^2+(1)^2-2(√3)(1)/3-1

=3+1-2√3/2

=4-2√3/2

=2(2-√3)/2

=2-√3

(ii)4/√7+√3

R.F.=√7-√3

Multiply and divide by R.F.

(4)×(√7-√3)/(√7+√3)×(√7-√3)

=4(√7-√3)/(√7)^2-(√3)^2

=4(√7-√3)/7-3

=4(√7-√3)/4

=√7-√3
