Example: Conjugate of 2-√5 is 2+√5

Now conjugate of √5-2√3 is √5+2√3

Applying the formula (a+b)(a-b) = a²-b²

(√5-2√3 )(√5+2√3)

= (√5)² -( 2√3)²

= 5 - 2 × 2 × 3

= 5- 12

= -7

Therefore 1/√5-2√3 rationalised is 1/-7 or 7
