first of all multiplying of both numerator and denominator but 1--root 7 will sign change and will sign add then solve

 \frac{1 +  \sqrt{7} }{1 -  \sqrt{7} }  \times  \frac{1 +  \sqrt{7} }{1 +  \sqrt{7} }  =  \frac{1 + 2 \sqrt{7 }  + 7}{1 - 7}  =  \frac{8 + 2 \sqrt{7} }{ - 6}  =   \frac{ - 8 - 2 \sqrt{7} }{6}
