let the ravanas salary= x
x-(3/10x+3/10x+24/100x)=2500
x-(84x/100)=2500
16x/100=2500
x=2500*100/16
x=625*25
x=15625
ravamas salary=Rs.15625
x-(3/10x+3/10x+24/100x)=2500
x-(84x/100)=2500
16x/100=2500
x=2500*100/16
x=625*25
x=15625
ravamas salary=Rs.15625

Given :
Ravana spends 30% of his salary on house rent, 30% of the rest he spends on his children's education and 24% of the total salary he spends on clothes.
To Find:
After his expenditure, he is left with rs. 2500. What is ravana's salary?
Solution:
Let Ravana's Salary be x
Ravana spends 30% of his salary on house rent
So, House rent = 0.3x
Remaining salary = x-0.3x=0.7x
He spends 30% of the rest he spends on his children's education
He spend on Children's education = 0.3(0.7)x=0.21x
He spends 24% of the total salary on clothes.
he spends on clothes = 0.24x
Total expenditure = 0.3x+0.21x+0.24x=0.75x
He left with amount = x-0.75x=0.25x
We are given that he is left with rs. 2500.
So, 0.25x=2500
x=10000
Hence Ravana's salary is Rs.10000
