ravendra goes to school with a speed of 4 km per hour and return village with a speed 6 km per hour. if he takes 3 hours in all how much far school from the village​

Let , the distance between the school and the village be X km

Time taken by the boy the reach the school=(distance ÷ speed)=X/3 h

Time taken by boy to come back to the village=(distance ÷time)=X/2 h

We know ,X/3h + X/2h=5h

(Lcm of 3 and 2 in 6)

Hence,(3X +2X)/6=5

5X/6=5

5X=6×5=30

5X=30

X= 30/5 =6

Hence ,the distance between the village and the school is 6 Km
