The respective ranks of Ravi and Amit from the bottom in  class are 28th and 22nd.

• Given,

Rank of Ravi from the top = 13th

Rank of Amit from the top = 19th

Total number of students in the class = 40

• Therefore, rank of Ravi from bottom = ( Total number of students in class - Ravi's rank from top ) + 1

[1 is added in the end to include Ravi]

•∴   Ravi's rank from bottom = ( 40 - 13 ) + 1 = 27 + 1 = 28

• Similarly, rank of Amit from bottom = (Total number of students in class - Amit's rank from top ) + 1

[1 is added in the end to include Amit]

• ∴ Amit's rank from bottom = ( 40 - 19 ) + 1 = 21 + 1 = 22
