Given:

Ravi can pack 54 pens or 72 pencils by working 6 hours a day.

Sunil can pack 45 pens or 70 pencils by working 5 hours a day.

they received an order of packing 4500 and 5600.

To Find:

if they work together for 10 hours a day then how many minimum days can they deliver the order?

Solution:

Step 1:

In 6 hours ravi pack = 54 pens or 72 pencils

in 1 hour ravi pack    = 54/6 pens or 72/6 pencils

                                  = 9 pens or 12 pencils

in 10 hour ravi pack = 90 pens or 120 pencils

Step 2:

In 5 hours sunil pack = 45 pens or 70 pencils

in 1 hour sunil pack    = 45/5 pens or 70/5 pencils

                                  = 9 pens or 14 pencils

in 10 hour sunil pack = 90 pens or 140 pencils

step 3:

Ravi & Sunil both can pack 90 pens in a day   but sunil can pack 140 pencils in day.

Let sunil pack all the  5600 pencils  = 5600/140  = 40 Days

4500 pens can be packed in 4500/90  = 50 Days

45 Days by Ravi  & 5 Days by Sunil

So, Total days of sunil = 40 + 5  = 45  Days

Answer: Hence They can deliver the project in  45 Days

Solution:

Ravi can pack 54 pens or 72 pencils by working 6 hours a day

Sunil can pack 45 pens or 70 pencils by working 5 hours a day.

=> Sunil can pack 9 pens or 14 pencils by working 1 hours a day.

=> Sunil can pack 90 pens or 140 pencils by working 10 hours a day.
