if he cuts them in 2cm he will get 3 strips
if he will cut them in 3cm strips he will get 2strips

length of strip-6cm
length of strip which has
been cutted into smaller
parts================= 3/2 cm
6×3÷9
= 3×3= 9
hence your answer is 9 strips
