After withdrawal, the balance amountthat Mr. Mohan had is Rs. 358

To find:

The balance after withdrawal  of amount 2000.

Solution:

The amount which is deposited (or credited) by Mohan = 2000.

The amount which is withdrawn (or debited) by Mohan = 1642.

Given that, the withdrawal amount is denoted by a negative integer. Let that integer be x

∴ x = -1642.

∴ The amount deposited is represented by a positive integer i.e., +2000.

Thus, the balance = +2000 – 1642 = +358  

Thus, after withdrawal, the balanceamount that Mr. Mohan had is Rs. 358
