Answer:

(1 kg = 1000 g)

Weight of Rice = 5.400 kg

Weight of sugar = 2.020 kg

Weight of flour = 10.850 kg

Total weight of his purchases = 5.400 + 2.020 + 10.850

Hence, total weight of Ravi's purchases = 18.270 kg

To find : sweets left with Ravi.

Given:

  • Total amount of sweets Ravi bought = \frac{31}{4} \ kg
  • Total amount of sweets consumed = \frac{23}{6} \ kg

Solution :

  • To find sweets left with Ravi after consumption we subtract total consumption from total amount .
  • Therefore,  \frac{31}{4} - \frac{23}{6}
  • We find LCM To equalize denominators.
  • LCM = 12
  • On solving we get ,

                 \frac{31}{4} - \frac{23}{6}  = \frac{93}{12} - \frac{46}{12}

                             = \frac{47}{12}

Hence , Ravi was left with \frac{47}{12} \ kg  sweets.
