1. let 'x' be the money Ravi had originally
2. let 'y' be the money Rohan had originally

 x=5y

 x-5y=0------->eq (1)

 Now,  3(x-350)= y+350

•  3x-3(350)= y+350
•  3x-y= 4*350
• 3x-y= 1400------- eq(2)

now according to the question

eq (1)*3:-

• 3x-15y=0

from 2 and 3

3x-15y=0

3x-y=1400

-    +  -(the sign changes)

 =  -14y=-1400

       14y=1400(as the negative sign got cancelled and 3x and-3x got cancelled)

   y=1400/14

    y=100

Now

x=5y

 x=5*100

 x=500

so x=500 and y=100
