Ravi is a salesperson and earns a fixed salary per month plus a commission on his monthly sales. Ravi’s monthly earnings is given by the equation = 10,000 + 0.05. Ravi gets a hike of 10% on his fixed salary and wil now be earning ₹140 on every 2000 rupees worth of sales. Write a linear equation in two variable which shows Ravi’s monthly earnings after the hike?

hike so 10,000 + (10% of 10000)

=11000rs

now he got extra earnings

every 2000 rs sales 140 rs he will get

that means for 1 rs he selling he will get 140/2000

=0.07

so combining these 2

we can write

11000 +0.07x

where x can change from the no of item he is going to sell.
