Age of Neeta now=x

Age of Ravi now=x+6

Age of Neeta three years ago = x-3

Age of Ravi three years ago = (x+6)-3

According to the question: 2(x-3) = x+6-3

                                               2x-6  = `x+3

                                               2x-x = 3+6

                                               :. x=9

Thus age of Neeta is 9 yearsold and age of Ravi is (9+6)=15 years old.
