Step-by-step explanation:

Ravi – x + 4

Emma – x

Ishu – x + 2

(Ravi 4 years older than Emma & 2 years older than Ishu)

Ages after 2 yrs

Ravi – x + 6

Emma – x + 2

Ishu – x + 4

x+6 = 2(x + 2)

x = 2

Ravi * Ishu = 8 * 6 = 48

Answer:

In 2 years, Ravi will be 16 years of age.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Emma be x

and the present age of Ishu be y

and the present age of Ravi be z

According to the conditions given in the question,

z = 8 + x = y + 8/2 = y + 4

=> z = 8 + x                                  --(i)

After two years,

Age of Emma = x + 2

Age of Ishu = y + 2

Age of Ravi = z + 2

According to the conditions given in the question,

z + 2 = 2 (x + 2)

=> z + 2 = 2x + 4

=> z  = 2x + 2                        --(ii)

Equating equation (i) and (ii), we get,

8 + x = 2x + 2

=> 8 - 2 = 2x - x

=> 6 = x

=> x = 6

We know that z = x + 8

                          = 6 + 8

                          = 14

Therefore, the present age of Ravi = z = 14 years.

We need to find Ravi's age after 2 years = z + 2

                                                                    = 14 + 2

                                                                    = 16 years.

Therefore, in 2 years, Ravi will be 16 years of age.
