ANSWER

Total selling price:

1 watch = Rs 594

2 watches = 594 x 2 = Rs 1188

The cost price of the one he gains 10%:

Gain = 10%

Selling Price = Cost Price + Gain

Selling Price = 100 + 10 = 110%

110% = Rs 594

1% = 594 ÷ 110 = Rs 5.40

100% = 5.40 x 100 = Rs 540

The cost price of the one he loses 10%:

Loss = 10%

Selling Price = Cost Price - Loss

Selling Price = 100 - 10 = 90%

90% = Rs 594

1% = 594 ÷ 90 = Rs 6.60

100% = 6.6 x 100 = Rs 660

The total cost price:

Total cost price = 540 + 660 = Rs 1200

The profit / loss :

Since Rs 1200 > Rs 1188

⇒ Cost Price > Selling Price

⇒ It is a Loss

Loss = 1200 - 1188 = Rs 12

The Loss percentage:

Loss Percentage = Loss/Cost Price x 100

Loss Percentage = 12/1188 x 100 = 1%

Answer: There is a loss of 1%

Answer:

36,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost price of each watch = x

Total watches = x (according to the question)

Total Cost Price of watches = Cost price of 1 watch x Total watches =  x * x = x^{2}

Profit per watch = 60 (given in question)

Profit on all watches = 60x

Profit% on all watches = Profit on all watches/Cost price of all watches

10/100 = 60x/x^{2}

Solving it will give x as 600

Therefore, Cost price of each watch = Rs. 600

Total no. of watches made are 600

Profit per watch = Selling price per watch - Cost price per watch

60 = Selling price per watch - 600

Selling price per watch = Rs. 660

Profit on all watches = 660 x 600 - 600 x 600 (Selling price of all watches - Cost price of all watches)

Profit of all watches = 60 x 600 = 36,000
