Answer:

Distance covered by Ravi in one round = perimeter of square fi eld

= 4 × length of a side of the square

= (4 × 85) m = 340 m.

Distance covered by Raju in one round = perimeter of the rectangular fi eld

= 2(length + breadth) = 2(130 m + 72 m)

= (2 × 202) m = 404 m.

\ Difference in distance covered = 404 m – 340 m = 64 m.

Hence, Raju covers more distance by 64 m.

Measure of square field = 85cm

Distance covered by Ravi = Perimeter of square

= 4 × side

= 4 × 85

= 340cm

Length of rectangular field = 130cm

Breadth of rectangular field = 72m

Distance covered by Raju = Perimeter of rectangle

= 2 (L + B)

= 2 (130 + 72)

= 404cm

Diffence between both distance = 404 - 340

= 64cm

Hence,

Raju covers more distance than Ravi by 64cm
