Given:

\cos x = \dfrac{4}{3}

We have to explain Ravi said that \cos x = \dfrac{4}{3} does not exist for some vale of angle x, why ?

Solution:

\cos x = \dfrac{4}{3}

\cos x = 1.33

We know that:

The the value of \cos x is varies between

0 ≤ \cos x ≤ 1

\cos x = 1.33 > 1

\cos x = \dfrac{4}{3}  is greater than 1. It does not exit any angle of x.

Thus, \cos x = \dfrac{4}{3} does not exit any angle of x.
