Step-by-step explanation:

Let B join after x months.

∴21000×12=36000×(12−x)

⇒252000=36000×12−36000x

⇒36000x=432000−252000

⇒36000x=180000

⇒36x=180

⇒x=

35

180

=5

Hence B joined after 5 months.

Answer:

Prakash joined after 5 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Ravi started business with ₹2,10,000

after few months Prakash joined with ₹3,60,000

end of the year they got a profit ₹1,20,000 on each

the profit ratio will be 1 : 1

from above data Ravi invested in entire year

number of months Ravi invested  = 12 months

let Prakash joined after x months

number of months Prakash invested  = (12 -x) months

the ratio of the profit =  2,10,000 ×12 : 3,60,000 × (12 - x)

                                   =  21× 12 : 36 × (12 -x)

                                   = 21 : 3 (12-x)

                                   = 7 : (12 -x)

we know that profit ratio = 1 : 1 = 7 : (12 -x)

                                      ⇒ \frac{7}{12-x} = \frac{1}{1}

                                      ⇒ 7 =12 -x

                                      ⇒ x = 12- 7

                                      ⇒ x = 5 months
