ravi travelled 40 km upstream. if his speed in still water was 3km/hr. less and the speed of the stream was 3 km/hr. more, he would have taken 6hrs. more for the trip. find the time taken for the upstream trip​

★ Distance = Speed * Time

Upstream = X - Y

Downstream = X + Y

➡ (X - Y) * 6 = (X + Y) * 4

➡ (X - Y) * 3 = (X + Y) * 2

➡ 3X - 3Y = 2X + 2Y

➡ X = 5Y

Given, Y = 3

So, X = 5Y = 5*3 = 15

➡ D = S * t

➡ D = (X - Y) * t

➡ D = (15 - 3) * 6

➡ D = 12 * 6

D = 72 km
