Given:-

Radius of circular flower garden is 14 m.

Rate of fencing the circular flower garden is ₹20/m.

Solution:-

At first, We have to find perimeter of circular garden that is circumference.

So, Circumference ⇒ 2πr

                               ⇒ 2 × \dfrac{22}{7} × 14 m

                               ⇒ 44 × 2 m

                               ⇒ 88 m

Now, Cost of fencing the circular garden ⇒ ( Rate of fencing × circumference of circular garden )

                                                                    ⇒ ₹20/m × 88 m

                                                                    ⇒ ₹1760

Hence, Cost of fencing the circular garden is ₹1760.

Some Important Terms:-

  • Circumference of circle = 2πr

  • Area of circle = πr²

  • To find cost of fencing of any closed figure = ( Rate of fencing × Perimeter of the closed figure )
