We measure the physical quantity of the water and most of the other liquid materials with the help of 'litre' unit.

• The water and other liquid materials are physically measured in terms of the volume.

• And, most of the volume measurements are taken with the help of the 'litre' and it's related units. (Eg. Millilitre, Decilitre etc.)

• That's why the measuring unit of water is mostly represented by litre unit. (Gallon unit is also used when we are measuring a huge amount of water or any other liquid material)
