Given :

Principle : ₹1800

Rate of interest : 10%

Total Amount : ₹27750

To find :

The time for which money was borrowed by him.

Solution :

First, we should find the simple interest.

Simple Interest :

\sf \dashrightarrow Total \: Amount - Principle

\sf \dashrightarrow 27750 - 1800

\sf \dashrightarrow Rs.25950

Now, we can find the time took to return the money.

\sf \dashrightarrow SI = \dfrac{P \times R \times T}{100}

\sf \dashrightarrow 25950 = \dfrac{1800 \times 10 \times T}{100}

\sf \dashrightarrow 25950 = \dfrac{18000 \times T}{100}

\sf \dashrightarrow 519 = \dfrac{18000 times T}{2}

\sf \dashrightarrow 519 = \dfrac{9000 \times T}{1}

\sf \dashrightarrow T = \dfrac{519}{9000}

\sf \dashrightarrow T = 0.057

Hence, the time taken to return the money back is 0.057 years.
