Ravish to cover his room which is 3 m wide and 4 m long by squared tiles. If each square tile is 0.5 . then find the number of tiles requirred to cover the floor of his room

Area of room=length * breadth

=3*4

=12

Area of one tile =0.5*0.5

=0.25

number of tiles is given by the formula,

number=area of room/area of one tile

12

=48
