• Photosynthesis is the anabolic process during which complex carbohydrates such as glucose is formed from water and carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight. Oxygen is released during photosynthesis. The chlorophyll helps in trapping the sunlight energy which is present in the green parts of the plant.
• Hence, the raw materials of photosynthesis are- water, carbon dioxide and sunlight while the end products of photosynthesis are- glucose and oxygen.
