Raw vegetables & fruits are kept in refrigerators whereas jams & pickles are kept outside.

Answer:
raw fruits and vegetables are natural and they don't have any preservatives so we keep them in fridge to preserve them from getting rotten
we keep pickles outside because if they are homemade they have salt in it which acts as a preservative and if they are store bought , they already have the preservatives
