Raw vegetables and fruits are kept in refrigerators whereas jams and pickles can be kept outside. Why? ​

It is because pickles and jams contains some preservatives such as sugar, salt and other ingredients in them. Though, pickles and jams do not easily get spoil by bacteria, air or other factors when you are kept them outside.

Raw vegetables and fruits get spoil easily Jam and pickles will not get spoil. This is because jams contain a lot of Sugars and pickles contain a lot of oil which prevents the microorganisms to spoil the phone. But vegetables of foods don't has a lot of oil or sugar. So they will get spoil easily and that's why RAW vegetables and fruits are kept in refrigerator.
