Raw vegetables and fruits are kept in refrigerators whereas jams and pickles can be kept outside. Why?

Bcoz jams and pickles are preserve by adding salt/sugar food preservative method.

Fruits and vegetables are kept outside to protect them from harmful bacterias as they are more prone to warmth.
jams and jelly's are kept outside because because they are added preservatives
