Answer :
Here we ray of light would bend towards the normal
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- We see that the refractive index of medium A is 1 & the refractive index of medium B is 1.4
- So we may observe that the ray of light is entering from a rarer medium to a denser medium the ray of light bends towards the normal
- Similarly when the ray of light travels from a medium of denser medium to a rarer medium it bends away from the normal.
- Here as the refractive index of medium B is more than medium A it means that the light ray is travelling from a rarer medium to a denser medium.
- Hence here the ray of light would bend towards the normal.

Your Answer:-
The Ray of light bend towards the normal.
Explanation:-
Because, light doesn't have any fixed time to pass any object. It wishes to rush in the shortest time from the medium A to the medium B. This is Know as the optics of particles the principal of least Action(Fermant's principal).
Fermant's Principal:-
A ray of light in passing from one point to another by any number of reflections or refractions chooses a path along which the time taken is the least or minimum.
