the reaction 2A+B --------> 3C+4D, when 5 moles of A react with 2 moles of B, then

(i) Identify the limiting reagent? (ii) Calculate the amount of C & D formed?​

Answer: i. 2 moles of A requires 1 mole of B so, 5 moles of A will require 2.5 moles of B but, only 2 moles of B is available so B is limiting agent.

ii. 1 mole B forms 3 moles C so, 2×3=6 moles of C is formed.

Similarly, 1 mole B forms 4 mole D so 2×4=8 moles of D is formed.
