Q..reaction between Gold+Nitric acid

ans... Aqua Regia is a mixture of two acids, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. ... Nitric acid doesn't really react with gold very much at all, and HCl, hydrogen chloric acid can't get a hold of the gold to get the reaction going.

Answer:

technically Nitric Acid Doest Dissolve Gold..

(or react with it)

but when aqua regia (Nitric acid +hydrochloric acid) is added it gold it gets dissoved..

Explanation:

when gold(Au ) reacts with aquia regia it forms 'CLOROAURIC ACID' [HAuCl4]

this process is used in gold refinery!
