Answer :- Diazonium salts when react with cu powder in p/o HCL or HBr. The only difference is the reactant and the mechanism involved. In case of Sandmeyer reaction the reactant is CuCl and HCl but in case of Gattermann it is copper powder with CuCl or CuBr to make chlorobenzene and Bromobenzene resp.
