Silver acetate is CH3COOAg and when it reacts with ethyl bromide it gives CH3COOCH2CH3 i.e ethyl ethanoate and side product is AgBr. Silver salt of carboxylic acid reacts with alkyl halide to give esters. ... Silver bromide ppt is formed as byproduct in this reaction
