Fructose is also known as fruit sugar and a simple monosaccharide with ketonic group. It is derived from sugarcane, sugarbeets and maize. When fructose is reacted with hydrazine it forms phenylhydrazone which forms fructosazone and the reaction will be as follows :

C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} +C_{6} H_{8} N_{2} -->CNNHC_{6}H_{5}H -->C_{18}H_{22} N_{4} O_{4}
