Answer:

Metals react with water and produce a metal oxide and hydrogen gas. ... It reacts with hot water to form magnesium hydroxide and hydrogen. It also starts floating due to the bubbles of hydrogen gas sticking to its surface. Metals like aluminium, iron and zinc do not react either with cold or hot water

REACTION OF NON-METALS WITH WATER

Non-metals do not react with water (or steam) to evolve hydrogen gas, as, non-metals give electrons to reduce the hydrogen ions of water into hydrogen gas.

Hope it helps you.

Have a great day buddy.

Answer:

Water with metals form metal hydroxide and hyrogen..Eg..Na+H2O-NaOH+H2...

And non metal do not react with water or steam..but non metal oxides do react..and forms acids...Eg..CO2+H2O-H2CO3

hope this helps have a great day

mark me brainliest if u think this is correct
