Non metals generally do not react with acids. Acids are the ones formed by the reaction bewteen Non-metallic oxides and water .There are also some exceptions for this case like reaction bewteen chlorine and water . Non metals are the substances who accepts electrons (acceptor) when they react with acids they need to provide electrons to H⁺ ion which can't be done by them .
