Battle of Hydaspes was fought between Alexander V/S Porus .

Alexander after winning against the Iranian Darius 3 marched towards Northwest India .The Britishers who modified ‘Indian History' claim Alexander's victory over Porus with over 20,000 casaualities on Porus's side including Porus's son .

King Ambhi who ruled Taxila (Modern day Pakistan) was a part of Alexander's coalition against Porus . In Greek records Ambhi is called ‘Taxiles'.

After Alexander's victory he marched to Sindh where he defeated local chieftains and after 9 months left Indian subcontinent avoiding any confrontation from the Magadha army.
