1.) Everyday Heidi thought of how the snow would have melted on the mountain near her village: of how beautiful it be at home with the sun shining on the grass and on the flowery slopes and over the valley below.
2.) One afternoon, Heidi felt homesick that she wrapped up some rolls in her big red scarf, put on her old straw hat and went downstairs. She was planning to go back to her village.
3.) Miss Rottenmeier threw her hands in horror when she realized that Heidi had planned to leave the house without informing anybody.
