Yesterday, I just finished reading Agatha Christie's 'And then there were none. It was one of the best books I have ever read and has already placed itself on my all-time favourite list.
Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist of all time, with only Bible and Shakespeare outselling her.
In the story, there were twelve of them at first—a bizarre collection of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a small private island off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire who is unknown to them all, has vanished. All the visitors have in common is a dark past they don't want to talk about—and a secret that will determine their fate. For each has been marked for assassination. Every room of the home has a framed and hung version of a well-known nursery rhyme:
Terror grows as they understand that murders are taking place in the manner depicted in the rhyme. One by one, they succumb to their prey. There will be none by the end of the weekend. Who is the mastermind behind this heinous scheme? Who will be the last to recount the story? Only the dead are presumed innocent.
And of course, my favourite character is Judge Lawrence Wargrave. Wargrave, a recently retired judge, is brilliant, cold, and ruthless. He earned a reputation as a "hanging judge" during his tenure on the bench, as a judge who persuaded juries to return guilty verdicts and sentenced many convicted criminals to death. At first, he seems like a good man, but his character arc is simply mind-blowing.
'And then there were none' is more than simply a 'mystery thriller' novel; it's got it all: fantastic character development, fantastic use of the English language, excellent narrative, and a knock-your-socks-off ending.

The novel of choice about which is written is "The Diary of a Young Girl."
1) About the writer:
Anne Frank is one of the world’s most famous writers and one of the most well-known Jewish women. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1929 and died there in the Bijlmerbasis in April 1945 at the age of fifteen.
Anne Frank is famous for her diary, which she kept while she was in hiding. She wrote it as a means of documenting her life in hiding.
2) Summary
The Diary of a Young Girl is the story of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who went to the United States in 1939 and hid in a attic for three months with her three brothers and sisters. When the Nazis came to take the Jews into gas chambers, she decided to escape, and hid in a attic. She wrote the diary, which contained a very detailed account of her life, from the day she left her parents' house to the day the war arrived. The diary was later published and became a social and cultural symbol of Anne Frank, a role model for many young people.
3) Favourite Character(s)
Otto Frank (1905-2006) was an Austrian-American writer, anti-Nazi activist, and ode to the Holocaust. He wrote the diary of Anne Frank, a young Jewish girl who was hidden in a concentration camp. The book was banned in many countries because of the diary’s contents. Otto Frank decided to write his story in English and published it in the book Diary of a Young Girl.
4) Analysis
Anne Frank's Diary is one of the most famous written documents from the Holocaust. Her diary chronicles the events of her life from May 1942 until August 1944.
Although Anne Frank spent most of her life writing in Dutch, the diary was written in German, which she translated for others when she was censored for its contents. The original manuscript of Anne Frank’s diary and her correspondence with her family both provide insights into the events of the years leading up to the Holocaust and the impact it had on her during these years.
The book also provides a window into the world of the Secret Annex (Anne's bedroom) and into the lives of her family.
