The city that I really enjoyed visiting is Jaipur, which is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. Jaipur, also known as the pink city, has a rich cultural history, with generations of kings having added to the beauty of the city, in terms of architecture. The city has many beautiful palaces and forts, besides the royal museum and the Jantar Mantar. The Jantar Mantar is a marvelous observatory with instruments that were used to tell the time in the olden days. Other than the historic aspect, it is a pleasure exploring the city's colorful markets, filled with vibrant traditional artifacts made by local artisans.
