Coping with Loss
Life is uncertain as it poses different threats before us while we barely know what is in store for us. Yet the indomitable spirit of man enables him to go through the challenges and uncertainties without succumbing to them. Helen Keller, despite her disabilities, was able to overcome the hurdles due to her fighting spirit. Her sickness rendered her blind and deaf, still, she made it to college challenging the challenges.
When troubles surround us it takes courage to not to give up in the face of difficulties. We may feel shattered immediately after we come across a problem; it may take some time to muster the courage to prepare us to face the crisis boldly, but sooner or later we can beat the troubles with our resilience. Help during such times from our near and dear ones works as a booster for our spirit. Chuck was able to come out of his gloom and stand on his feet just because Duke stood by his side to see it happen. His targets day-by-day bring him closer to his goal and he is able to work on full day basis from March first, a miraculous comeback indeed. ,
Hooper owes his recovery and success to Duke, his loyal pet who assumed the role of his benefactor. Even if Duke were not there, the desire to live and progress is so strong that it can pull us through hard times. Hope, though delicate, is supple enough to carry us on its wings to drive us out of despair when any loss, physical or emotional, strikes us.
