A tribal society consists of groups of related families that are led by chiefs and are governed by tribes, own laws and traditions. Tribal societies are not divided on the basis of caste or wealth Traditionally, many tribes have led a nomadic life. They moved from one place to another within their regions. The Banjaras were the most important trader-nomads. They usually travelled in caravans and the caravan was called Tanda. Some important tribal groups were Khokhar in Punjab, Ahoms in Assam, Bhils in Rajasthan.
Mention any one feature of tribal society.
