1. The poet has perhaps used the "globe" for the snowdrop flower which has a round head.

2. Animals feel very dull in winter. all their sportiveness comes to an end. they found no place of shelter. they see death all around them. they remain in fear of death . in their fear they lose all their mobility. they seen to have been casted in a mould of brass.
