i)The clerk called Ali a mad man because Ali had been coming to the post office everyday for 5 years without missing a single day. He always sat on a particular seat in a particular corner.

ii) Ali was waiting for his daughter Miriam’s letter.

iii) The word in the extract means the same as 'pesters’ is WORRIES.

iv) The clerk were not at all happy with Ali as he used to disturb them everyday by asking about the letter of his daughter Miriam.
