Read the features of cell layers in the wall of human intestine.:-

*It consists of circular and longitudinal smooth muscles.
*Outer thin layer formed of mesothelium.
*A layer formed of loose connective tissue and nerves.
*Epithelium with goblet cells to secrete mucus.

Identify the cell layers and arrange them from inside to outside as seen in the section of intestine.​

Several cell types are present in the intestinal epithelium, including enterocytes, Paneth cells, goblet cells, and neuroendocrine cells . Enterocytes are the major cell type in intestinal epithelium.

From the inside out they are called: mucosa, submucosa, muscularis, and serosa. The mucosa is the innermost layer, and functions in absorption and secretion.
