Read the following passage and answer the following questions:
A thiet, before being hanged, asked if he could see the king, as he had something
very important to tell him. When he was taken to the king he told him that he
knew how to plant trees which would have golden fruits. The king and his
courtiers became curious and eager to see what the thief said was true or the
thief told the king that such a tree would grow only if it was planted by an honest
person. So he asked the king to plant the tree. Neither the king, nor even the
prime Minister, nor any of his courtiers felt himself honest enough to plant it.
Thus, they showed that they too were dishonest. So the king pardoned the thief.
